Established in 1994, dermaviduals® is a brand under the German KOKO Cosmetics company by Founder and Managing Director Dr. Hans Lautenschläger with PhDs in chemistry and physics from the Free University of Berlin dedicated to developing beauty products backed by science. the SCIENCE behind Corneotherapy

• In 2002, dermaviduals® successfully manufactured lamellar bodies found in keratinocytes, the most prominent cell within the epidermis to produce the DMS® Base Cream.
• The base cream is manufactured with a patented process of high-pressure and low-temperature homogenization using DMS® (Derma Membrane Structure) technology, replacing emulsifiers in most skincare products that damage the horny layer and completely repairing damaged skin, making it the best choice among long-lasting moisturizers.
  
• The main components and lamellar structure of DMS® Base Cream and the epidermis are almost the same, so it can replenish and fill out damages in the skin barrier caused by excessive cleansing, makeup, laser, intense pulsed light, peeling, UV rays, etc. and regenerate the horny layer.
  
• Experiments have shown that corneotherapy can strengthen the horny layer, reduce the rate of evaporation, prevent harm from external aggressors, and increase defense against UV rays; and effectively help basal cell regeneration against aging.

Liposome Technology to Enhance the Penetration of Active Ingredients

• Using the most effective absorption technology present in medicine, bi-layer PC liposomes and monolayer nanoparticles act as delivery vehicles to administer active ingredients inside, so water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients that cannot be absorbed by the skin can now be effectively absorbed.
• The bi-layer liposomes are hollow spheres with a bi-layer membrane of lecithin, suitable for encapsulating hydrophilic active ingredients.
• Monolayer nanoparticles are hollow spheres with a monolayer membrane of lecithin, which envelops lipophilic active ingredients to aid effective absorption and fully nourishment in the deep layers of the skin.
